13. Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darling

Number 6 is one of a few men who may know how to trace the missing Professor Selzmen. Number 6 was the last man to have contact with him before he disappeared.

Selzman invented a process which transmits the mind of one man into the body of another and this process is used on NumberNumber 6 - now in the body of The Colonel 6!! He awakens to find himself in his own London home but with the body of a stranger.

Janet and her 'new' fiance His fiance, Janet fails to recognise him as does her father, Sir Charles Portland, one of his former superiors. Number 6 must trace Selzman to get the secret of the reversal process so he can be himself again. He persuades Janet to hand over a receipt for some colour transparencies, with these he is able to discover Selzman's whereabouts. He is able to see a special code that can be seen with polarised glasses, it spells out Selzman's location.

After a journey across Europe Number 6 finds Seltzman in the village of 'Kandersfeld'. He tells Selzman what has happened and after a small test the professor finally believes him. They are then confronted by one of Sir Charles' men and a fight ensues.

The Village are also watching though and a cloud of gas renders them all unconscious. Selzman and Number 6 arrive back in the Village, but can the professor retain the secret of the reversal process and restore Number 6 as well............?

McGoohan does not appear in this episode much due to the fact he was in Hollywood filming the Alistair Maclean cold war thriller 'Ice Station Zebra' with Rock Hudson!
