Number 2 brings an exact replica of Number 6 to The Village in an attempt to break The Prisoner.
It
begins when a girl, Alison, displays a close telepathic link with
Number 6 and is able to identify all the cards he selects from a
pack.
After she leaves, he goes to bed and is put into a deep sleep by a 'Pulsator' hidden in the lamp above his bed.
He subsequently undergoes a form of brainwashing where his tastes
are changed: his right handedness to left handedness, he grows a
moustache and has darker hair.

Everyone greets him now as Number 12. The double now assumes the identity of Number 6 and once The Prisoner comes face to face with with him he is left bewildered and starts to doubt his own identity. Will he finally crack......?
