This is the bit where you sigh in relief that I don’t have a scanned photo of myself to hand (those of you who know me anyway). I’d love to tell the world what an interesting and well-rounded person I am, knowledgeable about many diverse subjects and indulging in many fascinating pastimes. What I’m actually going to tell you is that I’m me, and you ought to judge for yourselves what that means. Of course, if you want to see my CV, and then offer me a job, feel free to click here

Before I get to the bit which begins "All about me…" I suppose I ought to thank you for having read this far. Cheers muchly! Now, please continue…

And now for the stereotypical sub-heading…

(Actually, you all know what it is, so why don’t we just get on with it?)

I’m a student. I go by the name of Richard Turner, and sometimes I stick a "J" between the two of those in an effort to make it sound posh. I’m currently nearing the end of my first year at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth reading for a degree in Genetics. Incidentally, why don’t you visit the university web-site, it’s lovely. Alternatively, completely ignore that link and carry on reading instead.

I read books. They’re fantasy ones usually, but sometimes they’re text books.

I think it would be very odd if humans chewed the cud.

I am proud to be one of many, but proportionally few, people in the UK to appreciate the work of Tori Amos. I just can’t understand why so many people in Britain think she’s odd.

I love Star Wars and have a passing interest in quantum physics.

I like my toast done on one side, but I do drink coffee…and I’ve never been to New York.

I’m also a fan of Monty Python, a founder member of the "My Name’s Richard And I Built My Own PC Club" and I like beetroot and mayonnaise sandwiches.

Oh, and I come from Cornwall which is the county in the far south-west of England and the place where Tori lives and has recorded her last three albums.
