I read fantasy books. Now, in my experience, quite often friends who also read fantasy haven't read books that I have, and vice-versa. If it weren't for these friends I would have missed out on some really good books. So, I thought I'd publish a recommendations list for all you fantasy readers. I like to think that I've read a lot of fantasy, yet there are always people saying to me "Have you read [insert title here]?", to which my answer is quite often "Nope." So, list list is far from comprehensive, and besides, I don't include the books I regret reading. Anyway, without further ado..."

The Crystal Singer Trilogy: (SF) This trilogy has to be one of my favourite stories. It's about a woman, Killashandra, who becomes a crystal singer, and her exploits thereafter.
The Crystal Singer
Killashandra
Crystal Line
The Dragonriders Series: This is a good series, though not strictly fantasy. It has as interesting view of dragons.
I won't list the titles, as there are about 15.
Mervyn Peake
The Gormenghast trilogy: Gothic fantasy. These books are a little hard-going, (the author pays meticulous attention to detail), but definitely worth the effort. And the sense of accomplishment when you're done…!
Titus Groan
Gormenghast
Titus Alone
Weis, Hickman et al.
The Dragonlance Saga. (See Dragonlance page here)
Robert Jordan
The Wheel of Time: These books are excellent! There are no true dragons, though there is a man whose title is "The Dragon". 'Tis the good old struggle of Good vs. Evil, but this time, everyone's confused as to who's on which side. There's magic and swordsmen and monsters and gods. It's cool!
The Eye of the World
The Great Hunt
The Dragon Reborn
The Shadow Rising
The Fires of Heaven
The Lord of Chaos
A Crown of Swords
Path of Daggers
