Awarded the school's T. B. Harvey Science Biology Prize for academic achievements in biology at GCSE level.

University of Wales, Aberystwyth: Currently studying for a degree in Genetics

Work Experience

1992 – 1997:

Saturday job at a bakery washing delivery vans and using computers to print on stickers used as labels for sandwiches, pasties, pies and sausage rolls. Also used to help count the week’s takings in preparation for banking.

September 1997 – present:

Holiday work at McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd, more recently also working there during term time. This involves the various stages of cooking and preparing sandwiches and maintaining and cleaning the kitchen and lobby.

Other Skills

I am adept and knowledgeable in the use of computers, being more than proficient in the use of the most common spreadsheets, word-processors and databases. I have also taught myself how to build a PC and am able to fix most problems that may occur in a Windows system and configure it for the best performance. I also have a full, clean driving licence.

 

Interests and Activities

I enjoy canoeing and have gained the British Canoe Union Two Star Award, (the second of five proficiency awards, the fourth and fifth being reserved for professionals). I have also graded once in Taekwondo. I spend a lot of free time reading science fiction & fantasy books and like to play science fiction war games.
