Construction of the ASW 27's moves on at my usual leisurely pace. I am building
two, one for me and one for my good friend and ace flier Colin.
Peter is also building one, although it must be said that he is somewhat further
on with his building progress due to his propensity to cut twice and think once.
I prefer to think twice and let Peter cut his first!
All three kits are being built with releasable nose hooks as well as standard tow
hooks so that they can be flown off the flat as well as the slope.

The arrangement for the fin mounted elevator (C341) servo has been modified from
standard to allow access should there be any need. The rudders have also been
hinged and made removable by using a sliding pin arrangement.

Graupner retracts (supplied by Purbecks) have been fitted to allow aerotowing ROG.
The fuselages in this area have been reinforced using carbon tows and an extra
layer of glass cloth. Carbon tows have also been used around the canopy aperture

So far quality has been excellent with no problems experienced at any stage of the
construction. All three should be flying within the next month after which a
complete review including flying will be posted on this site.
