This was Jewel's first single, released in the States in 1996 and reached the top 10 there.
It was released in the UK on 2nd June 1997 and spent one week in the singles chart at
number 52 and received minimal airplay. It was the only song to be released from Pieces
Of You which wasn't re-recorded/edited for its single version.
The commercial releases...
For its US release Who Will Save Your Soul was paired with Near You Always, but for the
international releases the addition tracks were Pieces Of You and Emily. The latter being
written for the Sean Penn movie The Crossing Guard.
