| Where do you live?
| San Diego, California.
|
| What song would you most like to cover?
| Unsatisfied by The Replacements - a beautiful, painful, honest song.
|
| First gig?
| Joan Baez in Alaska. I was six or seven. All I can remember is
chandeliers in the hall and a woman on stage.
|
| Last gig?
| Lyle Lovett. Los Angeles.
|
| Who would you most like to be if you weren't yourself?
| There's a lot of people I'd like to try on for a year like Anais
Nin or Charles Bukowski.
|
| First album you bought?
| Pink Floyd's The Wall. I thought it had something to do with the
Pink Panther.
|
| Last album you bought?
| Rickie Lee Jones's first album and Pavement's latest on the same
day.
|
| Last book you read?
| I read constantly. At the moment it's Charles Bukowski and Proust.
When I go on tour I tend to take no clothing and lots of books.
I'm more of a reader than a listener.
|
| How bright is Jewel's future?
| As bright as you can imagine.
