UK movie magazine Empire have recently announced
the nominations for the Empire 2000 awards and
it's great to see that they recognise real talent, as
Jewel and Ang Lee have both been nominated for
awards.

Carrie Anne Moss for The Matrix
Eduardo Sanchez and Dan Myrick for The Blair Witch Project 


Best Director

Ang Lee for Ride With The Devil
David Fincher for Fight Club
George Lucas for Star Wars
M Night Shyamalan for Sixth Sense
The Wachowski Brothers for The Matrix 


The awards take place in London on 17th February.
