We'll keep you up to date with all the information you need about the global event, which will be taking place simultaneously at London's Wembley Stadium, Giants Stadium New York and Geneva Opera House.

In addition, expect NetAidWeb netcasts as well as extensive television and radio coverage - depending on which country you're in. So far only Jewel and Celine Dion are confirmed, with artists such as Sting, Sir Paul McCartney, Luciano Pavarotti, Sheryl Crow, REM, U2, Michael Jackson and Lauryn Hill being tipped.

The night's highlight is likely to be an attempt by all concerned to perform, simultaneously, a specially-written song, some rare moments of global unity to the world.

The event is being organised by Harvey Goldsmith who stage the 1985 Live Aid event in London and Philadelphia.
