Eat your heart Outen Denise!
The day Denise Van Outen moved on from her spot alongside the bombastic Johnny Vaughan on
Channel 4's Big Breakfast laddish hearts across the country could be heard breaking in
unison. But now those hearts are all better because a new kid's on the block in the mind
numbingly curvaceous form of Kelly Brook, channel 4's latest recruit.
Saturn's opinion? Watch those ratings rise...Kelly Brook (birth name Kelly Parsons) is a 19 year
old model and television presenter from Kent, England who first discovered a lust for fame
at age 16 when she embarked upon her first modelling assignment after winning a beauty
contest - the assignment was first prize. "I had two weeks in Portugal - five days
shooting, the rest sunbathing - and thought 'Hey, this isn't too bad, is it?".
From age 13, Kelly attended London's Italia Conti Stage School famed for launching the
careers of supermodel Naomi Campbell, and British chart diva Louise Nurding.
Since launching her career at 16 she has appeared in numerousTV commercials including
shampoo ads, the quirky 'Nicky with the ticky' Sure body deodorant ad, promotions for
Playtex lingerie, Fosters beer and Renault cars, aswell as finding time for various
modelling assignments around the world.
These days Kelly can be seen every weekday morning in the hot seat alongside Johnny
Vaughan on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast. Kelly's doing a first
class job of holding her own next to the lively antics of Vaughan and has proven a huge
hit with Breakfast fans, even though the flirtatious spark Vaughan always shared, and
openly flaunted, with Denise Van Outen seems sadly absent.
No stranger to TV Kelly has previously presented
shows on MTV, and starred in UK programs Babewatch, VPL (Granada Men & Motors), T-spot
(Trouble TV), No Worries (ITV Network), Short Change (BBC1) and Fist of Fun (BBC2). In
addition to television, Kelly can also be spotted in the odd music video such as Pulp's
"Help The Aged".
Kelly has been voted the fifth 'Sexiest Woman on the Planet' by readers
of Excess magazine, behind Louise Nurding, Jennifer Aniston, Yasmine Bleeth and Alicia
Silverstone but we tend to disagree with the voters - we think she should be
number 1.
