Ornithological dejecta is a complicated business and a fundamental knowledge of the language is essential.
We have therefore added a small glossary to this site and you will be able to gain information about certain words, ie: Ornithology, is the Latin for "study of birds" and dejecta, simply means "excrement".
Hopefuly this will be of benefit, but for more information please refer to the glossary at the back of the "What Did That?" book.

- chewits
- Dried flakes of splay which collect along the upper surface of windshield wiper blades and give the impression that the rubber has been chewed. Chewits may also find their way into the air intake vents below the windshield, and create an interesting miniature snowstorm effect throughout the vehicle when the ventilation fan is first turned on.
- dejecta
- Excrement.
- envelope
- Exterior container of splay containing uric acid. Usually white.
- lobe
- Pendulous extension of splay wall.
- nucleus
- Solid core of splay containing fecal material.
- ornithology
- Study of Birds.
