Engineering is a Scottish family business who have been developing and
manufacturing wind turbines for a number of years. The quality of their
turbines is second to none. All parts are galvanised or stainless steel
with polypropeline blades and shroud.
They have a unique patented design for rotor and blades which give an amazing performance curve unmatched by any other similar turbine on the market. The turbine is an "after wind" type with flexible sprung blades, this means that maximum blade profile is maintained for low wind conditions and as the wind speed increases the blades begin to twist and reduce in rotor diameter. Even under extreme high wind conditions the turbine is still able to maintain it's peak performance, never being overloaded, it's shuts itself down at windspeeds in excess of 155mph. Proven turbines are also exceptionally quiet in operation only producing a gentle swish from the blades, they run at an exceptionally slow 300rpm resulting in less fatigue for moving parts, with a permanant magnet flywheel alternator for faultless, smooth power generation.
Proven manufacture three sizes of turbine, 600w, 2.5kw and 6kw.
Proven also supply inverters, Solarex pv modules, etc. and design and build microhydro systems.
