A close up of Church Cliffs, that appear from the western side of Black Ven and The Spittles, and run along towards Lyme Regis. This area has been much modified by quarrying of the Blue Lias for cementstone. This means that Church Cliffs is more of a quarry wall than a natural sea-eroded cliff face.

The front of the Spittles as seen from the eastern side. At the time of the photo it was just after low tide, indicating that the walk round to Lyme Regis is cut off at high tide.
