Dalmatia Cattaro Drop Scene (?)

Map 02 - Kotor and surroundings

Panoramic/General view of Kotor/Cattaro from the opposite side/coast of the Bay of Kotor (or: viewed from Vrmac peninsula - western border of the Kotor Bay): Kotor is situated beneath the rock crowned with the defensive walls along its ridges. At the top of the rock there is Sveti Ivan/St. John fortress (260 m above see level), and behind the walled rock one can see the serpentine path which joins the main Kotor-Cetinje road beneath the Zanjev Do village (see slide 16 - Montenegro Returning from market). On the left-hand side at the sea-level: the mouth of the rivulet Skudra is seen, and on the right-hand side there is Skaljari/ Mokra Ploca suburb of Kotor. Left upper background: Mountain Pestingrad.
Photo was taken from the serpentine road climbing up the Vrmac ridge, but not from its top. View is towards East.
I saw almost identical and detailed photograph in the Illustrated magazine SVIJET (World) published in Zagreb in 1927.
