Dalmatia Native minstrel Cattaro

A native minstrel ("Guslar" in Croatian) playing a local one-string instrument "gusle" and singing/reciting epic songs about the heroic exploits of various brave people. Photo probably taken somewhere along the Riva of Kotor.
"Guslars" were ubiquitous entertainers throughout the mountainous region of western Balkan (Dinaride mountain chain) in the past, and some can be seen even today.
