Map 05 - Dubrovnik and surroundings

Panoramic view of Dubrovnik from the north - northern part of city walls is seen, with a round fortress/tower Mineeta in a foreground. The Mineeta stronghold in its today shape was built about 1465. The island of Lokrum/Lacroma (where king Richard the Lionheart landed during the storm in 1190) is seen in front of Dubrovnik. Photo was taken from the lower slopes of Srš/St. Sergio hill overlooking Dubrovnik, with view towards SE. If our assumption about the tour of the city is right, reaching a vantage point of this photograph is a considerable detour, and somehow does not fit between the slides either side of it (Dalmatia Ragusa and Dalmatia Ragusa Porte Pille).
