Market at the Gundulieeva poljana (Gundulie's Square). The statue (erected in 1893) of Ivan Gundulie - a famous Croatian poet - is just outside the picture, to the left. A building with a balcony, on the right-hand side, was Hotel de la Ville at that time.
Photo taken from the northern edge of the Gundulie's poljana, towards SW. Gundulieeva poljana is possibly still a market place for the walled city.
