Dalmatia Diocletian Palace
Diocletian's Palace - Capitals atop the columns bearing arches, at the eastern side of the Peristil square.
Photographed from the wooden scaffolds (which can be seen above the capitals), in direction of SW.
The author took advantage of the existing scaffolds to photograph from close quarters the capitals which top red granite columns 5.25 meters high. Diocletian built his palace as a retreat, after he stepped down from power as the Roman emperor in 305 A.D.
