Herzegovina Mostar
Zahum - part of Mostar beneath the northern slopes of Hum hill, on the right bank of River Neretva/Narenta, close to the Old bridge. At the bottom of the picture a rivulet Radobolja, a right bank tributary to Neretva, is seen. In the middle plan of the slide (from left to right): Minaret of the Hadzi Kurt's Mosque (right bank), white tower of the new orthodox church (1863-1873) somewhat in the background (left bank), then defensive tower of the birdge on the right bank - Halebinovka or Celovina, then I cannot see the bridge itself, and on the right edge of the photo is the left-bank bridge tower Hercegovka or Tara. In the backgound a hill plateau Stolac (467 m) is seen.
Photo was taken from the Kriva cuprija (Curved or Bent Bridge) on rivulet Radobolja (about 300 m upstream from its confluence with Neretva), view towards NE.
New orthodox church was destroyed in the recent war.
