Staff news



There have been a number of staff changes this month:
o Tanya Bowie has left her post of manager at Rothley House and will be managing the two new projects in Islington. Anson Road is due to open in October 03 and Tollington Way in Jan 04. Steven Lawlor is now acting manager at Rothley House.
o Mark Stinson became manager at Albion Drive after a number of years as senior support worker at the project.
o Sheila Davies started as the new part time Information Officer.
o Ellen Georgiou, the manager at Downs Park Road, became Hilt’s new LDAF assessor. She is now responsible for making sure new Hilt staff get a thorough induction.

Congratulations to Yvonne, a support worker at Albion Drive, who had a little boy this month.

Volunteer awards


Hilt’s volunteers did extremely well in this year’s Hackney volunteer achievement awards. These were presented by the Mayor of Hackney on behalf of Hackney Volunteering Action. The following volunteers won awards:
o Robin Grienelt and Juan Zhong: runners up in the Young, Gifted and Volunteering award.
o Sonia Lopuchovska: runner up award for Volunteer of the Year. Sonia will be joining the new Islington project as a permanent member of staff in the Autumn.
