BIRTHDAY PARTY

Kehinde, from Rotherley, was thrilled to be taken to Yum Yum, a Thai restaurant in Stoke Newington, for her birthday at the start of February. She received lots of presents from her friends and thought the food was delicious. The service was also very good.


DIDN'T WE DO WELL!

The Staff at Evering Road were very proud of themselves after their inspection visit from the National Care Standards Commission in February. The inspector stated that the home offers good quality care for its residents. She also noted that:

  • service users are encourage to participated in the daily running of the home
  • participation in the wider community by residents is common
  • staff promote family links and friendships
  • staff are to be commended for their management of bereavement issues of a current service user
  • the home has good working relationships with healthcare professionals
  • protection procedures are well adhered to
  • the manager continues to demonstrate her competency in carrying out her management duties

    In five out of eight categories all the standards assessed were met. Evering Road's overall score was a very impressive 34 out of 41.
