AccessDirections to HILT Central Office Tel: 020 8985 5511 Westgate Street is located just off Mare Street which is the main street that runs through central Hackney. The following routes all involve using the tube and the bus. 1. From Bethnal Green underground station Bethnal Green is on the Central Line heading east. Take the 106 or the 253 bus from outside the station heading towards central Hackney. The bus journey takes about 5 minutes. You should get off when you see a sign for ‘St Joseph’s Hospice’ on the right hand side. There should be some traffic lights in front of you. Turn left at these lights into Westgate Street. Richmond House is the second building you come to. 2. From Old Street underground station Old Street is on the Northern Line heading south. Take the 55 bus from outside this station on Old Street, heading towards Hackney. This bus goes down Old Street, onto Hackney Road, and turns onto Mare Street by Cambridge Heath Station. The bus journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Once on Mare Street you will come to a sign for ‘St Joseph’s Hospice’ on the right hand side. Get off the bus here. There should be some traffic lights in front of you. Turn left at these lights into Westgate Street. Richmond House is the second building you come to. 3. From Liverpool Street station You can reach Liverpool Street on the Central, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City underground lines. From there you can take an over-ground train to London Fields station. This is a short distance from the HILT Office. Trains run every 30 minutes from Liverpool Street to London Fields. 4. From Hackney Central station Hackney Central is on one of the over-ground lines. Trains to Hackney Central run from West London to East London every 15 minutes and can be boarded at any over ground stations along this route, and at underground stations on the different lines that intersect with the route. To walk from Hackney Central to the HILT office takes 10-15 minutes. There are many buses heading down Mare Street towards Bethnal Green that you could also take (numbers 253, 106, 55, D6, 48). 5. Low-floor bus routes to Hilt Central Office The 48 Bus: Walthamstow - Leyton - Clapton - Hackney - Cambridge Heath - Shoreditch - Liverpool Street - London Bridge The 55 Bus: Leyton Green - Clapton - Hackney - Cambridge Heath - Shoreditch - Old Street - Bloomsbury - Oxford Circus Contact London buses on 020 7941 4600 for a full list of low-floor bus routes.
