About a year ago I was part of the Management Committee. Hence I would like to be elected again in order to make a positive contribution towards the progress of HILT. I had enjoyed to work as part of the team and this made me feel good.

I can pass on information to other Service users about HILT. I care about people with learning difficulties. The reason I want to be elected is I have experience of being on the management Committee. I hope you vote for me. Thank You.

I would be a good representative because: I am a good listener and I pick up on how other people feel, I can help stick up for them. If things get excited/ loud/ can tell people to calm down. I have lived in HILT a long time and this means I'm experienced and know a lot about HILT.

I want to speak up on behalf of Service users. HILT say people are capable of doings and Service users must have a say about choices and what our needs are. I want to make sure that Service Users are treated with respect regardless of what their disability is.

I am very good at telling people when there is a problem. I like to help people. I have a good memory and if something is wrong I don't let people forget until it is changed or at least looked at. I have given presentations before so I am used to speaking in front of groups.

I think I would be a good representative because: I believe it is important that tenants take more control over their lives, that they have their own flats. I think people should do their own shopping, go to work and bingo. Dial-A- Ride should be there to take people to Rathbone or wherever they want to go.

I have never been part of a Committee before and would like to see what it is like. I have been to meetings before in Tower Hamlets but I have always had to listen. It would be nice to be able to say what I think and what I want.
