Service Manager (Training)
I am service manager with an extra responsibility
for training. As a service manager I keep an eye on all the people
who live in or use the services I am responsible for and make sure
they are getting the service they want. I work out the logistics
when someone wants to substantially change their service, or new
people come into the service. I also support the staff who work
in those services, and help develop new policies and procedures
to help them understand what their role should be and how to do
it safely and efficiently.
My role as training manager also means that I am responsible for
working out how Hilt can provide all the training that the law says
we need to and all the training that people need to be able to do
their jobs well, and share that out in a fair way between all the
staff. It also means supporting and encouraging staff who are doing
difficult course.
I have been working with people with learning difficulties in Hackney
for 15 years in a variety of jobs.
