Service Manager (Housing)

My name is Sade Kur and I am one of the service managers in Hilt.

I joined Hilt in 2002 having spent six years previously cutting my teeth in residential care homes. I began my career as a Support Worker and later went onto become a Registered Care Homes Manager in three different projects. I enjoyed this work particularly building relationships with service users and their families and enabling staff to develop their skill and competence.

By the time I joined Hilt, I was looking for a fresh challenge and that’s exactly what I got. I have gone from being a manager in a moderate sized residential home to line managing residential and supported living schemes, and being the lead person for housing.

I have enjoyed the opportunities that have been available to help me develop. I have also enjoyed working in an organisation committed to delivering positive outcomes for its service users.

Although I have only been with Hilt for two years I have managed to fit in having a new baby. Now that I have returned from maternity leave one of my aims is to develop my housing role further to ensure service users can access responsive and efficient housing services, so that they can enjoy a good quality of life in their homes.
