I am responsible for Hilt’s day to day activities, and for setting the direction for Hilt, with our Management Committee. I’ve been working with people with learning difficulties for more years than I choose to remember, initially in the statutory sector before coming to Hilt.

I still get a buzz from seeing people do things that are new to them and from seeing people take control of their own destiny. I am particularly proud that Hilt has been able to learn and implement new ways of supporting people with very complex needs and have been heartened by the improvements that Hilt has been able to contribute to those people’s lives.

Qualified in Management (DMS) I recently finished a national Leadership course aimed at helping people to lead services to really get Valuing People established and I’m now eager to push the boundaries of what Hilt is doing further and further so that people have more and more control.
