Professor Ian Jeffrey Windsor

 

Ian was born in Royal Windsor, in 1957, the son of a German Herzogin. He was educated in Windsor, Canterbury and Winchester. Ian also received further education in London and did research in Chichester, Southern Central England and Normandy.

In 1991 Ian discovered an Early Iron-Age settlement in Dartmoor, Devon. In 1994 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Numismatic Society. His diverse interests include studying the famous 'Book of the Dead'. Ian enjoys Fine Art, orchestral music, fine wines and select tobaccos.

Ian has travelled widely in Europe and Northern Africa. He has lived for a year in each of the following, France, Germany and Morocco. Whilst on his travels Ian became competent in German, French and to a lesser degree Classic Arabic.
