The Harbour Training Missions are lessons in threat suppression and evasion. It starts easy then gets tougher and tougher. You won't need to take out every threat - nor will you have the weapons to do so. Concentrate on those you have to kill to reach the target. And vary your tactics. In the first mission being too low will kill you. In the last flying too high will.

The target is a Hoby tanker ship in port. This target is the same for all missions. The weapons of choice is the Kh-29 missile. The defences vary.

Mission 1:    NEEDLES - The ship is protected by Igla shoulder launched SAMs. Not too difficult.

Mission 2:    CLOSE DEFENCE - The Iglas have been joined by a Tunguska Close Defence system.

Mission 3:    HIGH TECH - A pair of Tarantul missile boats off shore and a ZSU-23-4 on land

Mission 4:    EARLY WARNING - A pair of Tor SA-15s

Mission 5:    COMPLICATION - As above, plus a Mig-23 guided by EWR

Mission 6:   DAWN PATROL - A deadly combination of short & tough medium range SAMs

Mission 7:    DAWN MENACE - An old SAM system (SA-6) and a new Mig-29

Mission 8:    GLORY DAYS - You concentrate on the Slava Cruiser. Tough but possible.
