I am a Systems Engineer specialising in Requirements.
I am a Chartered Engineer and an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow of City University.
My work includes:
- Preparing and delivering
Training Courses
in Requirements and related subjects to many organisations.
- Service to the Engineering community: I am on the Program Committees of
RE conferences and workshops including: RE, REFSQ, REET, RIGiM, RePa and
RESS. In addition, I review papers for the REJ, IEEE Software and IEEE
Computer magazines, and the IET Software Journal.
- Presenting seminars and workshops at universities and colleges including
Imperial College, the Open University, City University, the University of Westminster,
and Lancaster University.
- Writing books on requirements:
Writing Better Requirements (2002),
Scenarios, Stories, Use Cases (2004),
Discovering Requirements (2009).
- Requirements research published in
peer-reviewed & informal articles,
on practical topics including trade-offs, stakeholder analysis, scenarios,
and requirements reuse.
- Numerous book reviews on
requirements, systems and software engineering, and related topics.
