"The SEI is a federally funded research
and development center established in 1984 by Congress with a broad charter
to address the transition of software engineering technology."
The SEI is responsible for the Capability Maturity Model (CMM)

is a richly varied site sponsored by several blue-chip companies.
It offers a fine mix of articles, book reviews,
discussion and much else for software, and is a great
way to keep up to date with what's new in software engineering.
