Fighting Moorhens, Gallinula chloropus, Kennet & Avon Canal, Bradford-on-Avon, May 2010

The two males fought for several minutes, locking together twice with feet pressed on to each other's chests,
and ending by swimming side by side, heads down and wings raised in threat to define an invisible boundary in the water.
The two females stayed close by.

Aerobatic Ravens, Corvus corax, St Justinian's, Wales, May 2009

The pair flew round and round at speed, sometimes buzzing each other, sometimes upside-down.

Lesser Horseshoe Bat Rhinolophus hipposideros, Dordogne, July 2009

The nose-leaf, and the wings wrapped around the body, are characteristic.

Common Lizard Lacerta vivipara crushing a Longhorn Beetle (Cerambycidae, cf Oxypleurus nodieri), Dordogne, July 2009

O. nodieri is a "rare Mediterranean longhorn beetle found on pine trees" in Spain, France, and Greece. This beetle was found out of the Mediterranean zone, but in mixed Sweet Chestnut / Maritime Pine woodland in France, so perhaps it was indeed that species.
