The Presbyterian Standard is produced four times each year.
Each issue contains a variety of devotional, doctrinal and historical articles. Material is selected from Reformed Christian writings of the past and contributed by present-day writers and ministers of like faith.

The James Begg Society produces an email newsletter every two months. It is free for everyone who wishes to receive it.
Our email newsletter contains our latest news (such as information about forthcoming publications and events) plus an edifying article. Articles are drawn from our own publications, or from other Reformers, Puritans, Presbyterians, etc., or from modern authors of like faith.
If you wish to receive our email newsletter, please contact us.
On the main James Begg Society website we have many other resources online, including our Bookshop, our Annual Meeting Addresses (public lectures) available as free MP3 audio downloads, and the Westminster Standards (the doctrinal basis of the Society).
The Rev. James Begg D.D. (1808-1883) was a leading figure in the Church of Scotland, and in the Free Church of Scotland from its foundation in 1843. He was a strong opponent of Roman Catholicism, Moderatism (also called Liberal Theology) and attempts to impose un-Scriptural practices upon Divine worship.
The James Begg Society, founded in 1995, is committed to the same Reformed Christian religion as Dr Begg – as formulated in the Westminister Standards.
The purpose of the Society is to re-publish the works of Scottish presbyterians from the 16th Century onwards, and to publish the works of modern authors of like faith from around the world.
