By Bric à Brac I mean the odds and ends that don't really fit in anywhere else. In some cases it's because the subject is truly odd, at other times it's because inclusion in one of the other sections would unbalance things.
A good example of this final thing is the article below on the Fire of Frendraught. In theory it fits into the Auchterless section of the family history, but it would overpower the rest of that article so it ends up here.
The final reason for the Bric à Brac section is that my ISP only allows me 2mb for free to start with so it's much easier to lump together the things that might need to get cut rather quickly if I get tight for space.
Never fear, even if they get removed, the Bric à Brac articles will live on locally in my PC and they will only ever be an email away, just note down the title and send me a request to get the article out of the archive.
