Featured Assignment

We joined Pelagic and her crew in Ushuaia, Argentina, visited Cape Horn and had a good taste of the Southern Ocean on our way across the Drake Passage.

The air is so clear and the mountains so big that I lose perspective. Deception Island looks about a mile away, but it takes a long afternoon of fast sailing to reach it. We slip through a narrow gap and into the crater of a volcano.
This is Antarctica........
