Home My World Links The Daze

I work for a computer and network support firm in Rossendale, Lancashire. So, the first link is to NCS Supporthandlogo.jpg (3818 bytes) Services Ltd who are my employers. I urge you to have a quick trip to their Web site for two reasons. Firstly, I designed their Web pages, so it'll give me some satisfaction if more people see them. The site has won some awards for its design and ease-of-navigation and it lets us give more information to our customers and visitors than we could through any printed media. Secondly, there is also an excellent page of computer-related links. It was designed as a source for  driver-updates and links to companies whose products we sell or like. If you're feeling lazy, click here to go straight to the links page.

Like most people, the only really important thing in the world to me is my family I admit to some self-indulgencefamily.jpg (6161 bytes) here by planning to include a page of pictures of me and some of my family. Hey, if you don't like them, you'll always be able to use the "back" button on your browser.

Manchester is the greatest town in England. No arguments about this one. If you try this site (Virtual Manchester), you'll see that we even have a page for some of the excellent bands who have come from our wonderful city, including the Buzzcocks, 808 State, Joy Division. Morrissey, New Order, Oasis and the Stone Roses. There's a link to a homepage for every one of them from the Manchester bands site.

You will understand that I was somewhat disillusioned to see that my own former band ("THE DAZE", early-1980sjs.jpg (5840 bytes) purveyors of fine Clash rip-offs) were not mentioned in the listing, but you can see a photo of me on stage right here.

We did make one single, called "DEEP SOUTH", a scathing political statement, which could have been a bit of a classic if it hadn't actually been crap.

The Daze did lots of gigs, supported a few moderately well-known bands of the time (including The Alarm and Happy Mondays) but finally went back to their respective garages and bedrooms in the mid-1980s.

The "DEEP SOUTH" single is not available to ANYONE at all, but for some reason yet to be fully explained, The Daze now have their own homepage which is available by clicking here.
