INDUSTRIAL DESIGN SERVICE
AIMS
It has always been my belief that there are elegant and inelegant solutions to any problem. The former will be deceptively simple, seeming to answer a number of functional and aesthetic problems at a stroke. The later may do the job but will fail to inspire.
The design consultant has a small, but pivotal role in pursuing this goal;- that of a subjective outsider who will work not only with the client but also with an eclectic mix of companies and individuals.
Examples of a wide range of schemes embodying this approach may be viewed at the industrial design section of this site.

METHOD
After an initial consultation a program, brief, and fee proposal are drafted. These will break any new project into distinct stages to suit the job. Typically hand drawn sketches or rough models are used to explore a variety of concepts from which a solution will be selected.
Once a direction has been agreed concepts may be refined into computer generated working drawings. Where appropriate suitable manufacturers will then be sought to bring the project to fruition.
