INDUSTRIAL (Objects for serial production.)
Much of my work is concerned with the design of objects for serial production. As a sole trader my approach is very much one of collaboration- not only with the client, but also with a myriad of specialist consultants, suppliers and manufacturers. This method of flexible networking enables me to tailor a service to meet the unique requirements of individual clients.  Working drawings, models, prototypes or illustrations may be produced on request. EXTERNAL (Design for open space.)
Many of the schemes on this site are involved with the composition and use of external space. Projects have ranged from elements of signage, street furniture etc, through to complete environments. Over the years my work has often dove-tailed with that of professionals from other disciplines (architects, engineers, landscape architects, contractors, quantity surveyors etc). With this background I am able to work independently, or within a multi disciplinary team. ARTS (Projects with an aesthetic bias.)
Many of the projects on this site have a strong aesthetic bias, their purpose being as much to enhance their surroundings as to serve a specific function. My background in external and industrial design allows me to draw from a wide range of mediums according to each site's particular needs. In all cases a range of initial sketch proposals are worked up for consultation with interested parties, including planning authorities where appropriate. Once a specific proposal has been selected firm quotations for production and installation are sought from trusted sources. Implementation is monitored at all stages, from concept through to hand-over. I also provide an illustrative service- examples of 'traditional', digital, and hypertext work may be seen around this site, down loaded, or delivered by post in an information pack.
