Dr Tracie O'Keefe DCH's new book, Sex, Gender and Sexuality: 21st Century Transformations explores beyond the boundaries of known concepts of sex, gender and sexuality. It dispels much of the mysticism around physical sex, artificially constructed gender and the diversity of sexuality. As well as considering gay, lesbian, transsexual and transgendered identities, Dr O'Keefe also looks at the intersex groups such as hermaphrodites, and people who identify as androgynous or as being without sex or gender.

Many of Dr O'Keefe's published papers are included in the book, as well as contributions from other experts and the sexually diverse. In keeping with her previous titles, this work is easy to read, making it appealing to both lay people and professionals alike.

Sex, Gender and Sexuality: 21st Century Transformations will be available in all good bookshops in the UK from 1st September 1999 but you can order your copy directly from the publisher now, using the order form.

Author of the highly successful book on transsexualism, Trans-X-U-All: The Naked Difference, Dr O'Keefe is an internationally known clinician and researcher in sexology. Her often controversial work breaks new ground by extending the pansexual model of human behaviour.
