Brey Yard, swoop racing hero

Arrogant and cocky swoop racer whose easygoing nature and sharp retorts bellied a serious drinking problem.  Despite this, Yard had a business arrangement with fellow swoop rider Skeet Jonas.  Yard came into possession of the freighter the Happy Contriver, which was previously owned by the D’Staan/Riger/Cipple/Dressel partnership.  Brey sacrificed himself to save young Skeet and his friends by crashing his speeder into a hovertank.
