Starships and Vehicles Guide - D Daknene -
Berell Industries Stock Light Freighter once owned by the
old smuggler Ocern Gabe. Fast
and manoeuvrable, the Daknene served him well for decades until the constant
re-fits proved too much for her weakening sub-frame and he sold her on. Dangerous Curve - Modified Ghtroc Industries Class 720 Freighter owned by the smuggler Jan
Lomona. Jan usually used this powerful ship when using the alias of Joel St John. Able to carry 4 passengers,
the Curve had a cargo capacity of 70 tonnes and a swift x1/2 hyperspace
multiplier. Dark Maiden - Corellian
Corvette attached to the Victory Class Star Destroyers, which attacked the Chancai Trade Centre under the command of Glann Cipple and Arcc Nedeen. Dark Phoenix –
Starship belonging to the then Imperial Blake De’Athe. A swift and powerful freighter, De’Athe was able to out-manoeuvre two Rebel Alliance X-wing
fighters in the Yavin
System Dark Star II – Attack craft owned by the bounty hunter
Tarr Ranth and once owned by his father. This Mandel 3000 Dragon Attack Craft was a 200-year-old design outfitted with
the most potent of modern technologies. Heddon 6 rotatable drive
units gave the Dark Star II impressive sub light velocity, and the Koran 20 hyperdrive package made the Dark Star II among the fastest ships in
the sector. Ranth had confidence
enough in the Dark Star II to take her into battle against much larger vessels,
including the ICF Destiny, captained by Ranths nemesis Captain Nerain. Dark
Star III - Vessel that succeeded the Dark
Star II, owned solely by ex-bounty
hunter and Jedi Knight Tarr Ranth.
Co-designed by Ranth and Arach
Raynor, this Heddon Systems Dark Star Stealth Craft was built by the Unique Design Corporation.
Thirty metres in length and capable of carrying forty metric tonnes of
cargo the Dark Star III had a x1 hyperdrive multiplier with a x5
backup. Requiring only a crew of one
and utilising the latest in cockpit slaved systems, she boasted a retractable
forward firing ion cannon, a split quad laser cannon
mounted on port and starboard, gravity
mines capability for
pursuing craft and a twin
proton torpedo launcher. Her single emission shielded Heddon Ion Engine provided blistering speeds at sublight velocities. All in all, the perfect craft for the
newly installed Jedi Knight to carry out his duties across the Mid-Rim. Dawn Raider - Stock Light Freighter belonging to the
ex-rebel field researcher and now ship-for-hire Lee Anarri. This Afagard Assemblies Sunstream 4.6 Series freighter was a 28-meter long vessel of advanced years, which Anarri
began to upgrade. Dawnrider – Nebulon-S Fast Attack Craft assigned to the water world of Rai for the use of
the Jedi Knights who made their new base there. D’Dash Decider - Stock Heavy Freighter
owned by Dressels main smuggler Petrol Merritch. Broad and flat, this Afagard Assemblies freighter had massive cargo space,
concealed weaponry and powerful engines. Deadman’s Dream - Carlonian Feeses
starship. Bought many years before as
a simple sub-frame and drive system, Feese carefully built the Deadmans Dream
from parts he acquired throughout his assassin career. Using many various mechanics and
technicians, he drafted the Dream into one of the most effective
hunter/killer vehicles in the Mid-Rim and beyond. Dead Storm – Starship
which once belonged to the slave master of the Twi’lek Olya Denadre
until his death. A swift but small
vehicle, it served her well as she began her new life of freedom. Delvon 290 – Antiquated speeder bike class belonging
to the force-sensitive speeder Skeet
Jonas. Racing the 290 primarily on Junduk IV in the Ki-Ki Sector, Skeet tinkered with it constantly until it was tuned to peak
performance. Desando Dynamics AM-49 - Mid-range and hyperspace capable vessel
made for the family market and a hot seller throughout the inner systems of
the Setnin Sector.
Affordable to many, smugglers and pirates soon started using these
ships for their owns underworld usage's. Desando
Dynamics DD-24 `V’ Wing Strike Fighter - One of the few examples of a Desando Dynamics fighter,
the `V’ Wing, which pre-dated the New Republic version by some years, was a potent short range strike fighter. At 13.5 meters long and with a x1
hyperdrive multiplier, the `V’
Wing could leap into locations and
attack at short notice. Powered by a
binary Novaldec J-77
engine, the `V’ Wing was impressively decked out with 2 Blastech BMF-6 laser cannons, Arakyd proton torpedoes, a Torplex deflective shield generator, a Siep-Irol sensor array and
toughened Desando Dynamics ablative shield armour. Though only produced for a limited time,
the `V’ Wing soon became industry fighter standard
throughout the Sector. Desando Dynamics DD-472 - Freighter commonly seen in the inner
systems of the galaxy and a popular play vehicle of the rich and famous. Regularly flown around the Trefnare System and used by the billionaire Holovid stars of the Chollywood vid industry. Desando Dynamics DF-165 – Popular freighter
seen commonly throughout the Setnin and surrounding sectors. Capable of vast distances for such a small
vehicle, this is something of a workhorse, able to take frequent hyperspace
trips with little maintenance and requiring surprisingly little attention. Desando Dynamics ME-45 - Stock Heavy Freighter of a
similar class to Jan Lomona's ship the Berone Sunrise. Divine - Determined – Setnin warship commanded by Captain Conno and present at the battle that saw Ki-Ki forces break through the lines and invade Setnin. DS-667 Shadowship - 21 meter long vehicle, with a crew of only
one. Able to carry 4 passengers, with
up to 4 additional troops. Its x1
hyperdrive multiplier makes it a very fast starship. One example of this class of ship, of
which there were only three ever constructed, was owned by the mercenary Luschia Arkensaw and called the Reaper. Duet - Dressels custom-built
twin
sailbarge that he used to
traverse the surface of the planet Cawbate. |
