Starships and Vehicles Guide - S S.D.F Skimmer – A
low level aerial vehicle that was essential in S.D.F
ground attacks against the forces of the Ki-Ki Sector. Used widely and pushed to the limits of
its performance and endurance, this skimmer was a workhorse in the war. S.I.E Fighter – Also known as the BUG Fighter, this Single Ion Engine vehicle was designed and built on the planet
of Trefnare by the Imperial owned Bestragex Utilities Corporation.
The Bestragex Utilities G-Series
was used during the Battle of
Mantin; the S.I.E. Fighter was a
deft and powerful fighter, which caused the Alliance many
problems. Bureaucracy meant that the Empire let the S.I.E. Project go to seed and instead stayed with the more
familiar TIE Fighters and the newly built TIE Interceptors. S-76 Sunwing - This Ridley-designed starfighter was built on Cantarr Bi Romou and one was owned by the outlaw tech Arach Raynor. Hidden at his base on Wennicas, the Sunwing was an 8 metre long fighter with an x3 hyperdrive
multiplier. Sleek and manoeuvrable,
the Sunwing was a deft atmospheric fighter. Sabre - Cover name for Nias Derril’s starship the Freedom Flyer.
A small, cramped vehicle with limited bunk space but powerful shields,
the Sabre/Flyer saw him through many close encounters. Sabre One - A J-Series
X-Wing modification of a nine-year-old design, up rated
shields, scanners and manoeuvrability give Blake De’Athe’s ship
the edge that the Jedi needs. The twin-seated design means that the latest
micro miniature technology is used for weapons. Consequently, the four heavy
lasers have a slower recharge time than a standard X-wing, but are more
powerful when they hit. Two metres longer, and with a wing span three metres
wider; these craft are easily distinguishable from the standard X-wing
design. Salern - Berell Industries Stock
Light Freighter, currently owned by the old smuggler Ocern Gabe. Spacious and swift, the Salern is a medium load freighter with a kick to match and a ramp that impressed
the Rampologist Grin. Salura Star – Legendary starship fabled throughout
the Setnin Sector.
Piloted by the revered pilot Chatroot, and crewed by his group the Howlrunners, the Salura Star appeared infrequently in the sector, over a period
of many centuries. The ship lay
buried beneath the sands of the planet Clayboss for almost
thirteen centuries until it was uncovered by a research team and soon after
the smuggler Jan Lomona and Goah Galletti. Scavenger – Owned by the junker Arach Raynor, this vessel was equipped with a powerful tractor beam emitter,
useful for hauling junk and scavenging pieces of destroyed ships from space. Scourge - Imperial
landing craft used to land on Junduk
IV, which was occupied by Grand Moff Galgen. Scrapheap - Cover name given to the Berone Sunrise for her approach and landing on Abrogard. Her captain, Jan Lomona, was less than
impressed. Screaming Moonbeam - This passenger freighter ferried a band
of paying customers to the archaeological base on Kemnan IV. Captained by Boro Jakira and Co-piloted by Affin Croom, the passengers were Omin Kaball, Horsh and Kirry Gilgowen, Jutt Jerra, Shee and Hengam. Screaming Sun – Starship owned by the Galletti family whilst they lived on the planet Trefnare. Usually used by their eldest son Hindley the Screaming Sun was basically a family starship with no weapons,
minimal shielding and an x4 hyperdrive. Senator Class Frigates - Large and broad vessels which travel
through the many lanes of the Setnin
Sector carrying any and every type
of cargo. Usually used by reputable
firms these ships carry many weapons - hence their designation as
frigate. Similar in shape and
configuration to their slightly larger cousins the Administrator Class, these ships also carried dignitaries in comfort and safety. Setnin Legacy
- At 255 metres long this YT-701 Cruiser is by no means small.
However, she is able to rapidly rotate around her own axis and manoeuvres
like a much small ship. Her main cargo bay was expanded to become a launch
bay and thanks to a bit of well planned design, can hold a medium-sized
freighter, up to seventy metres in length, and six other fighter scale
craft. Two powerful tractor beams, one internal, can be used to
manoeuvre or retain small craft. With
a total of five quad turbo laser batteries, twin proton torpedo
launchers, enhanced shielding, ablative armour and a point seven five hyperspace
drive, she is a formidable combat ship. Thanks to the attachment of a new command section, room was
freed up internally to create comfortable living quarters, meditation and
training rooms for its crew of twenty-four Jedi. Four medium
sized staterooms are available for guests.
Six months worth of consumables are stored onboard as well as a cache
of spare armour plate. Eight astromech droids are kept onboard
to do running repairs. Shadow of the Phoenix - Once owned by Hindley Galletti, later
owned by the load lifter-turned-assassin Goah Galletti and his son Draite Galletti, this was a powerfully built Desando Dynamics AM-26 Heavy Freighter. At 45.3 meters long and
able to hold 80 metric tonnes, the Phoenix was more than spacious enough for the
uses of its owner. Her x3/4
multiplier took Galletti to his destinations at speed, and her forward light
laser, triple laser cannon, small laser cannon, concussion bomb system and
anti-personnel Blaster protected her pilot and co-pilots from harm. Eventually sold on, the Phoenix survived an unsuccessful attempt at a ditch in the Amagadian bay by her owner. Shadow Ship – Stealth fitted, sensor decoyed attack
vessels used by Glann Cipples Shadow
Warriors. Shrieker – Ki-Ki vessel with triple engines capable of mass destruction. Silver Shot III and V - Corellian
Corvettes attached to the Victory Class Star Destroyers, which attacked the Chancai Trade Centre under the command of Glann Cipple and Arcc Nedeen Skipship – Short distance vessels, usually within
system and between moons and satellites.
Sky Runner – Combat fighter craft designed and built
by Berell Industries. Sleeping Warrior - Corellian
Corvette attached to the Victory Class Star Destroyers, which attacked the Chancai Trade Centre under the command of Glann Cipple and Arcc Nedeen. Slingshot – Starship belonging to the Galletti family of Trefnare. Slingshot 27 – Starship
belonging to Beebee Siggiam, former ganglord of the Setnin Sector and now smuggler. The Slingshot 27 boasted a full defence
package, Hotflare countermeasures and Spinner decoys. Three twenty millimetre pulse cannons, two
fire-and-forgets, one Seeker
proton launcher, Top-Charge electromagnetic shield, and quad Vodiplex ion engines. A powerful vessel. Spice Transport Vehicle - Class of ship not advertised by always
built by any and every ship builder in the Mid-Rim. With most of their cargo capacity
concealed, these ships filled the lanes, going about their business. S.S.C
Setnin Revenge - Stealth Super
Carrier, Capital
Ship Class. Exactly 700 Metres long, and three hundred metres wide, with
Stealth Shields and Stealth Armour, this ship can shield its energy emissions
and reduce it’s sensor echo to show a ship of only fifty metres in size. Able
to carry fifty modified Preybird class fighters in one launch bay
and fifty modified SJ-Series
X-Wings in the
other, this ship is a formidable opponent in any battle. Undetectable up to
two clicks from its intended target, this ship and its fighters are painted
matt black to reduce their visual signatures. Backed up by ten quad turbo lasers, eight proton
launchers, five ion batteries, four tractor
arrays and
massively enhanced, multi layered, 360 degree shielding, this is a match for most heavy cruisers and Star Destroyers. Combining 1 x hyperspace multiplier with powerful sub-light
engines, this
ship can get most places fast. Star of Tessann - Star cruiser owned by the ganglord Geon Tasar. Star Swarm - Formally Luschia Arkensaws starship,
this modified private space yacht was a capable vehicle. Needing only a crew of 1 and able to carry
4 passengers, the Star Swarm was fantastically fast, with a x 1/2
multiplier. Sleek and smooth, the Star Swarm soon became the envy of many other interstellar pilots in and around
the Setnin Sector until its destruction whilst parked at a
star port. Stars End - Corellian
Corvette attached to the Victory Class Star Destroyers, which attacked the Chancai Trade Centre under the command of Glann Cipple and Arcc Nedeen. Steel Wing - VTA-seven class shuttle used by Gern Omik after his escape from a station in an unknown region outside the Setnin Sector where he betrayed a rebel cell to the Empire. Known as Veeta, the computer of the
Steel Wing had an electronic neural net, enabling the ship to communicate
like a sentient being. After discovering
that her passenger was Omik, the man she had intercepted transmissions of
communicating with Imperial
Captain Shreems, Veeta tried to
kill Omik but failed in her attempt and self-destructed. The computer system
was developed in the Ki-Ki Sector. Sunrider -
Captained by the alien smuggler Rondosarn,
this 21.7-meter long cargo shuttle was a capable, if battered starfighter. Sword of Justice
– Victory Class Star Destroyer utilised by Commander
Brotus and Dagger during the Ki-Ki
invasion of Setnin and the taking of the Chancai Trade
Centre. The Sword was heavily
damaged after the Setnin Super Carrier Intrepid almost collided
with it, allowing people fleeing the Chancai invasion to escape out of the
system. |
