M.P.K. was established in 1993, proprietor Martin Knapp having previously had 18 years experience in the loft conversion, building and joinery industry.

The main workforce are directly employed by M.P.K., using the same reliable registered plumbers and electricians as and when required. This is backed up with membership of the Private Business Ombudsman, and all the necessary Public and Employee Liability insurances required.

The comprehensive service includes all aspects of the conversion, from the initial enquiry and customer consultation, planning and preparation of drawings for local authority approval, right through to the final completion - even including built - in cupboards, wardrobes, and decoration if required.

While many of the structural details and elements of a loft conversion are the same in principal, when approaching M.P.K. the clients' loft conversion can be made unique in design and layout. Any individual requirements are assessed and considered at all time in order to involve the clients as much as possible in creating and maximizing the potential of their conversion. At the same time, very careful consideration is given to minimizing any disruption in the home with the techniques and installation methods.

An initial friendly, informal no-obligation appointment will be arranged on a one-to one basis with Martin Knapp, and an assessment of potential design, layout and cost will be made there and then. Photographs of previous completed conversions can be seen from the portfolio at this stage, and should you wish, an arrangement can be made to view a completed conversion locally. Following this initial meeting, a typewritten quotation will be forwarded to the client confirming the details agreed, costs and schedule of works.
