I WILL BE YOUR
GIRLFRIEND, the third single from Dubstar's album GOODBYE, is released in the UK
on 26 January 1998. It's one of the highlights of the album, a bollock-bruising
knee in the groin for male bastard-dom. CD1 is backed with the three highly
successful previous singles Stars, Anywhere and Not So Manic Now to help attract
a new audience to the band, while CD2 features what Steve Hillier reckons to be
some of the strongest Dubstar remixes to date. You might be forgiven for
thinking that the record company are just screwing the band's faithful following
by including old songs as b-sides - Dubstar are just as unhappy about it as you
and I, but industry politics prevail.. shite, isn't it? However, for newcomers
to the band, the single represents a stonking purchase. |
