dubstar I sat in my student flat in Newcastle in 1995 reading one of the local free rags, Paint It Red or The Crack, it must have been. And there was an article about local new sensations Dubstar from Gateshead (just over the river). I decided I liked the sound of them, and spent a mad week desperately trying to find them in the shops. I eventually hit on the just-released "Anywhere" single and loved it instantly. And what clinched it for me was the ace b-side "Don't Blame Me" which proved to me that they were all about SONGS. I was lucky enough to meet the band at the opening of the new HMV in Newcastle, the beginning of a beautiful relationship...
web Neil's Dubstar Web Garden began as an experiment in HTML, to see if I really could produce a web page. But it quickly became apparent from mail I received that Dubstar had quite a big worldwide following. At that time the search engines weren't coming up with any other Dubstar pages, so I decided to make a real effort to produce a comprehensive page devoted to the band. And so, four years later, here we are! I deliberately try to keep the pages as simple as possible, because I know how annoying it is having to download huge amounts of graphics.
