what's happening.. October 98

While there's a lull in live appearances from DUBSTAR, their drummer Paul Wadsworth's band TRANSMISSION will will be playing in Brighton on Saturday 24th October 1998, supported by Steve Hillier's own little side-project. Should be a good gig for hardcore Dubstar fans, but please note that this is NOT a Dubstar gig, and no Dubstar songs will be played. This gig will be at Nine Bar (previously Cybar), 9-12 Middle Street, Brighton, 01273 384280, starting around 9pm. TRANSMISSION's first gig, in Brighton recently, was a big success by all accounts.
If you plan to go along, could you please let me know so that plans can be made in case of huge numbers attending.
Also, if you plan to travel any distance to the gig, I'd recommend you call the venue beforehand to confirm details.

Work on DUBSTAR's third album is well under way, with around 13 songs currently in progress at the highly prolific Hillier haven. A slightly harder sound than previous Dubstar, but "some of the best stuff they've done" according to one insider! Look out for a review of some of the demos for the album here soon.
