WINTER HAIKU 99
Updated in html by Philip D Noble 14th June 2000
teddy bear
both eyes and arms
wide open
your postcard from
last summer
still smells of figs
with a single word
mere echo of breath
avalanche released
snow
last notes of the angelus
silence
black flight of starlings
dive and soars in winter dusk
changing in shape and size
golden childhood
treasured
in memory banks
again this year
vertically challanged
christmas tree
your pauses
on the phone
speak volumes
returning late
young man forgets
the third step creaks
