Solar Eclipse viewed from RAF Hercules, August 11 1999

In August 1999 everyone heard of the Eclipse, ever if some of us could not actually see the eclipse in "Real Time".

A number of ASTRA members attempted to see the eclipse and below are a number of reports from members describing their attempts/obversations. To view their reports simply click on the required report.

11th August 1999 &endash; Total Solar Eclipse From Devon by Paul Clark

Partial Solar Eclipse at Airdrie Public Observatory by George McCue

Our thanks to the above members for submitting these reports. If any other member would like to submit a report of their eclipse experience we would be pleased to hear from them.

As mentioned in George McCue's report there was a public watch at Airdrie Public Observatory. A report on the public at Airdrie Public Observatory, including photographs submitted by yours truly is available on Eclipse at APO.
