Duncan
Lunan, John
Bonsor, Robert
Law and
John
Boyes. Oscar
and I produced a High Frontier special issue of Spacereport,
but ironically the exhibition was now to cease touring and
with Linda, David

Spacereport was also suspended. June 18.

Oscar
Schwiglhofer
at Unispace 82 United Nations conference in Vienna. This was
when Oscar discovered that unknown to him, his old
university had awarded him an honorary professorship in
1948, for translation of mining laws from Hungarian to
replace those of the Nazi occupation. Sept.
Following the resignation of Paul Benson,
Oscar
Schwiglhofer
and Robert
Law appointed
Airdrie
Public Observatory
Curators. Oct.2. ASTRA
hosts Scottish Astronomers' Group annual meeting at Hamilton
rooms, on the theme 'Scottish amateur involvement in
Halley's Comet'. Due to a sharp rise in fares and petrol
costs, this was to be the last well attended meeting in
Hamilton. Dec.21. Having
lost the annual appeal against rent and rates increases, we
were forced to give up the Hamilton rooms. During the move,
Oscar and I took an hour off to go into Glasgow and see the
midwinter sunset over my megalith, which had never been
observed before. ASTRA's best furniture, library and photo
collection went to Largs to be housed by John Bonsor; the
rest of the furniture was left to the Hamilton Sub-Aqua
Club, with whom we had negotiated unsuccessfully to share
premises.
