Jan. The tracking station had now had to be dismantled and moved, just after the return of the power pack from Phillips. Soon afterwards, Oscar and Margaret suffered a burglary at their new address. The villains used the aerial segments as a ladder, smashing them, so Oscar began a redesign to incorporate elements from the CAA radar antenna donated in 1979.

The Parks Project had now been wound up, following the change of government, and followed by a Youth Opportunities project featuring only Ian Downie and not involving ASTRA. Bill and I collaborated on an article about the Astronomy Project work with schools, but it was turned down by all regular educational journals and eventually published by the BIS 'Space Education' in May 1986.

Sept.. A publications committee had been formed, consisting of David Proffitt, Linda Lunan, Jean Coles, Oscar Schwiglhofer and Ian Chalmers. Printing was to be on a quarterly schedule, on a Gestetner jointly purchased by David, Oscar and myself, using printed covers donated by David, featuring the ASTRA logo redrawn by Paul Benson and incorporating adverts for "New Worlds for Old" and "Extraterrestrial Encounter". Both books were to be remaindered by David & Charles before the covers were used up.
